Man Murders Wife Over extramarital Sex In Delta

One Michael Akpore, who reportedly murdered his wife, Julie Akpore, in Urhiephron, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been arrested by the police. This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, by the state police command spokesperson, Mrs Celestina Kalu, a copy obtained by Vanguard. READ ALSO: Police Hunt Man Who Slaughtered Neighbour’s Children The deceased, who was 32-years-old was reportedly lured into the bush along Iwhrekan/Ekakpamren Road, where the suspect allegedly butchered her over claims of infidelity. The suspect (her husband) was said to have gone to Jeremi Police Division last Thursday, to report himself days after committing the inhuman act and confessed to murder. The police spokesman said the suspect alleged that he “killed the wife because she confessed that she was having extra marital affairs.” READ ALSO: Police Parade Four Dangerous Criminals In Maiduguri, Borno Kalu said the suspect, who was promptly arrested, took police officers to the scene of crime where the corpse of the woman was recovered and deposited at the Jeremi Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. Meanwhile, in neighbouring Edo State, a middle-aged man identified as Mike reportedly attacked four of his neighbour’s children, hacking two to death in Okha II village, off Old Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.
