Nigerian troops might have scored a strategic victory in the current battle against Boko Haram insurgents terrorizing the North-Eastern region of the country.
DailyPost recalls that on September 17, a desperate attempt to capture Konduga, some 70 kilometers to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital was foiled by resolute soldiers drafted to protect the area.
However, there is an indication that of the scores of terrorists killed in that operation, one of them may be the man security officials say is the one that portrays himself as Abubakar Shekau, the sect’s leader, in recent videos.
