 Asked how he could possibly help carry a body and would not know whether it was that of a dead man, Friday said he was sleepy at the time.

“I told them I would not touch the man’s body. Someone sat behind me supporting the man’s body. I only drove them to the roadside. They put the body down and I left.”

 Deru’s body was said to have been dumped about 100 metres away from his lover’s house on Oladipo Diya Road, Odogbolu.The police were called to the scene when the body was found by residents of the area.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said after a thorough police investigation, the body was eventually traced to Ibrahim.

Made Men Music Group singer, Emma Nyra has revealed in a recent interview how are boobs are her selling point and what she thinks about celebrities bleaching their skin.

This bleaching thing, Indians do it too, even Americans do it too. Its been so bad lately because the society’s perception of beauty has to do with it. The lighter the better, whereas, in Europe, the darker the better. Dark hair, dark skin, its a kind of class. That’s how they do their own class system. Our own is just, we have grown up watching aunties bleach. When I fist came to Nigeria, I went to a store and I couldn’t find a regular cream, all I saw was whitening. I went to Dubai, the same thing. Indians and Arabs, they bleach. I am more concerned with clear skin, not light or dark or whatever because I grew up seeing girls wanting to be dark. So it didn’t affect me that way. I don’t support bleaching, I don’t think it’s right. Some people wear padded bra, some where padded bum. As a woman, you can choose whatever you want. You can change your nose, your breast, anything. But as for bleaching, because of the long term effect, I don’t think it’s good for you”

In a case of love gone wrong,a female Chinese student who tried to sneak out to meet her boyfriend died after being found slumped over an electric fence.

 Jiao Chin’s body was hanging over the fence at the campus of the Xishuangbanna Dai Prefecture in south-western China’s Yunnan Province.

Mailonline reports that,Fellow students at the university in the early hours of the morning, found the 22-year-old only wearing a T-shirt and shorts.The fence had been erected around the university accommodation after a string of intruders tried to break in.

Roommate Qing Wan, 23, said: 

‘I had no idea she had left the room until I looked out of the window and saw her body down below with people and police milling around it.
‘I don’t know where she was going as she didn’t say anything to me, but I do know she was seeing someone so maybe she had gone to meet him?’

A university spokesperson said:

 ‘The electric fence was installed to keep intruders out after we had a few incidents of unauthorised people trying to get in.’It was there for the students’ safety and we never imagined one of them would try to climb over it.They all knew it was electric.’

Police said they are now looking into the death, and add they have not ruled out foul play.

A police spokesman said:

 ‘It seems at this stage as if she was going to try and meet someone, but we need to explore all avenues before giving a definitive explanation for what happened.’

Google’s Manager for Communications and Public Affairs, Anglo-Phone West Africa, Taiwo Kolade-Ogunlade explained to Punch newspaper why the popular news site had to be removed.
“To respect the rights of copyright holders, Google clearly spells out how users of its products and services can get permission to use someone else’s intellectual property such as text, songs, images and footages. Google is no respecter of anybody when it came to the issues of copyright infringement, copyright is a big deal.
“Google as an organisation takes issues of copyright seriously and belongs to a group of digital companies that respect copyrights.
“Copyright is a big deal and this is why you can’t just go and pick up another person’s intellectual property or content and lay claim to its ownership.
“That is why we have copyright guidance. I don’t know if Linda picked up any content and I don’t know what content is the bone of contention-neither have I looked into the complaints personally.
“But it is not a case of witch-hunting and has nothing to do with Linda Ikeji’s personality or anyone else because there is a process, and irrespective of who you are in the world, that process would apply to you.
“It has become imperative for online entrepreneurs to respect the rights of copyright holders noting that the Internet community should be built on mutual trust and general respect.
“Let’s respect other people’s rights and intellectual property. Making money off other people’s content without permission is wrong. Although the Internet is inanimate, it is the content on it that gives it life. These are the issues.
“Whenever owners of online contents come after you accusing you of using their content, it is because they have families to feed and businesses to sustain.

Google removes Linda Ikeji Blog over plagiarism allegation

Popular news and entertainment site, Linda Ikeji Blog, was taken down Wednesday by tech firm, Google, after a row over the originality of the blog’s contents.
Linda Ikeji Blog, published on Google-owned Blogger, has grown to become one of the most visited websites in Nigeria.
The site mainly aggregates and republishes news items and entertainment bits sourced from other channels, although it occasionally publishes exclusive contents.
Its publisher, Linda Ikeji, has emerged one of the most successful online entrepreneurs in Nigeria and has been rated amongst Nigeria’s most influential young women.
Lately, the site has been hit by multiple allegations of plagiarism with critics allegedly prodding Google to suspend the blog. The tech firm disallows plagiarism on its platforms.
Ms. Ikeji denies lifting materials without proper attribution.
On Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji said the site came under attack by her competitors driven by envy over her success.
The claims followed allegations of plagiarism by the publisher of another blog, 15Past8, known by the name Aye Dee. Details of the controversial work are not clear.
But on Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji dismissed the allegation in an article, saying she cited sources in all published materials.
Ms. Ikeji said Mr. Dee and other tech-savvy publishers were out to have her website suspended by Google, angered by her success and her recent acquisition of a N24million SUV.
Ms. Ikeji did not respond to our inquiries Wednesday.
She however told her readers via her twitter handle @lindaikeji: “Linda Ikeji Blog will be back in a bit…biko bear with me…:-)”.
At 9:50 P.M. on Wednesday, she announced that she was trying to get a new site for her blog.
“Oh wow! Thanks guys for all the love and support. I’m overwhelmed. Trying to get a new site…please bear with me. Long live LIB. Kisses,” she tweeted.
Google could not be immediately reached also. An official who responded to our call denied knowledge of the suspension of the website.

In a bizarre twist,An Indiana anesthesiologist shot dead his wife minutes after the last guest left their wedding party early on Sunday morning after an alleged alcohol fueled argument over a pre-nuptial agreement turned tragic.
Dr. George ‘Scott’ Samson, 54, is said to have told his new wife, Kelly Ecker, 50, that she would ‘never get her hands on his money’ during the wedding reception .

According to witnesses who spoke to Dailymail, the argument became increasingly bitter when the wedding after-party moved to Samson and Ecker’s mansion, with guests deciding to leave at 1.17am on Sunday morning as the fighting escalated. 

Kelly made a frantic 911 call around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning pleading for help. “He’s beating the shit out of me,” Kelly told the operator. “Who is?,” the operator asked. “My husband.” The call ended and moments later Kelly called back. “Help,” she pleaded. “Oh, my God. He’s going to kill me.” Multiple gun shots can be heard as the call ended.

When police arrived, he had shot himself.
